Difficulty at the Beginning
The Gate of Ordering
Keynote
The fundamental challenge of initiation is to transcend confusion and establish order.
Collective Perspective
Having a strong unique and creative drive within and the energy to transcend the confusion and chaos prevalent at the beginning of each new process. The ability to establish order so that the mutative energy can bring something new into the world when there is a clear sacral response.
It takes time to bring order out of chaos, hence the need to accept the natural limitations (arising out of Gate 60) that hold back energy until it is time to be released. This can feel very frustrating or even depressing as one is enthusiastic about change, and there may be bursts of energy followed by inertia that can be unsettling and destabilizing to others. Awareness of this dynamic helps surrender to the fact that the timing for change happens on its own and that the right structure needs to be in place to affect dynamic change.
During times when the energy is dormant it is beneficial to connect with one’s own inner process and creative muse.
Personal Perspective
This gate carries the energy to transcend the confusion and chaos prevalent at the beginning of each new process, and to establish order so that something new can be brought into the world.
You carry the potential to affect significant change but need to wait and be clear in your sacral response before committing your energy to any endeavour. It takes time to bring order out of chaos, and you need to accept the natural limitations (arising out of Gate 60) that hold back the energy until it is time to be released, which at times can feel very frustrating or even depressing as you are enthusiastic about change. The restless urge for change can be unsettling and have quite a destabilizing effect on those around you.
There is a principle at work here ready to transcend confusion and establish order so the mutative energy can be used to create something of lasting value and impact. There may be bursts of energy followed by inertia and as long as you keep aware of this dynamic, you can surrender to the fact that the timing for change happens on its own and that the right structure needs to be in place to affect dynamic change.
You have a strong unique and creative drive within you and during times when the energy is dormant it is good to connect with your own inner process and creative muse.
