The Cauldron

The Gate of Values

Keynote

The value of historical continuity whose traditional values serve and enrich the present and the future.

Collective Perspective

An instinctive awareness to protect values, uphold structures, and guard the laws guaranteeing the well being of the family/tribe. The ability to recognize outmoded laws or values, detect corruption compromising the community’s integrity, can lead one to take up responsibility and challenge those laws that no longer benefit the interests of the community, or larger society. The task to preserve values and structures can also manifest as a fear of responsibility, as well as a misdirected sense of taking on responsibility one can not handle.

Personal Perspective

You have a strong sense of responsibility toward your community and people around you. Your distinct sense is to protect the values and to guard the law, those rules that guarantee the wellbeing and functionality of our communities and the structures that uphold them. At the same time, with this gate we can also feel obliged to challenge the law if it does not protect the interests of the community or society at large. To care for our children, family members and those within our communities who are dependent is a natural instinct. You instinctively recognize which laws or values no longer serve their purpose and can detect where corruption is compromising the integrity of the tribe/community. Without Gate 27 at the other end, you need to closely examine where you place your care, as physically taking care of others may not be correct for you, but simply arise out of a desire to protect, or a misplaced responsibility.
